Benefits of a made-to-order package

- Our standard "buy out" contract may cost less than licensing an existing production for all employees if yours is a large organisation
- Possibility of recouping part or all of the investment if the package can be sold on to other financial organisations
In a typical multimedia production, the stages would be:
- Briefing: you provide us with details of your objectives, your audience, the topics you want us to cover
- Proposal: we develop a concept and present this to you, together with a detailed costing and production schedule
- Scriptwriting: once you agree the concept, we write the script and provide a schematic to show the navigation and a storyboard to show the content of the pages
- Production: video and/or photographic shoot, graphics, computer animation
- Authoring: all assets are converted to digital format and the structure and interactivity programmed. Where appropriate, we would use the same authoring language as used in any existing productions you may have, to simplify maintenance and updating.
- Testing: both by ourselves and with your own test audience
- Replication: copying, printing and packaging CD or DVD copies.
A very simple production, with a single day's documentary video shoot and a number of interactive exercises, to provide approximately 30 minutes of learning might cost around £7,000 + VAT.
A typical production, 2 days' shoot with actors and presenter, audio, graphics, stills and some animation, to provide 2-3 hours of learning might cost £25,000 + VAT
A major production, on 2 CD-ROMs, providing 4+ hours learning might cost £35,000 + VAT.
Intranet delivered e-Learning productions cost rather less, because these are unlikely to be "media rich", as your intranet is unlikely to have the capacity to deliver video or audio.
Normally we would invoice you in three stages, 30% with the order, 30% on completion of the video or photographic shoot, 40% on completion of the project.
On settlement of the final invoice, copyright of material which we have developed for you will pass to yourselves, with the exception of material which has been sourced from a third party, such as a photo or music library, which will be licensed to that production only.
Where there is the possibility of selling on a generic version of the production to other organisations, we may agree a joint venture with yourselves.
